SAN LORENZO VILLAGE HOMES ASSOCIATION
MEETING NO. 1022

June 15, 1999


The special meeting of the San Lorenzo Village Homes Association Board of Directors was held Tuesday June 15, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium with President Jim Spears presiding over the meeting.

1.1 CALL TO ORDER - President Jim Spears called the meeting to order.

1.2 SALUTE TO THE FLAG - President Jim Spears the flag was not present so we would not say the pledge of allegiance.

1.3 ROLL CALL - Directors Jim Spears, Dorothy Partridge, Jim Sherman, and Millie Arieta were present.

2.0 PUBLIC COMMENT -

A question was raised to ask the candidate what he knew about the associations since he had not been present at many meetings. End of Public Comment.

3.0 INTERVIEW OF POTENTIAL BOARD MEMBER

The Board Members asked this and a number of questions of the candidate including:

What do you think are the current most challenging issues for San Lorenzo?

What skills do you have that are relevant for facing these challenges?

Do you have the time and are you willing to serve on:

a. Business Development Committee
b. Oakland Airport Committee

Why do you want to be on the Board?

What is your perception of the time it will take to serve on the Board?

Why do you think you are qualified to represent the majority of San Lorenzo and in what ways?

What do you think the responsibility of the Board is as it relates to the economic development of the Village?

Each question was answered and the Board opened up the meeting to the public for a few more questions. After this the Board adjourned to discuss this appointment. After 8 minutes the Board reconvened.

Director Partridge made a motion to appoint Dave Sloan to fill the vacant Board position. Seconded by Director Arieta, and unanimously approved by roll call vote.

4.0 ADJOURNMENT TO THE JOINT MEETING WITH THE BOARD, THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE AND THE COUNTY REGARDING REDEVELOPMENT ISSUE

President Spears turned the meeting over to Travis Thoms, Chair of the Business Development Committee at 7:30 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT - Director Partridge made a motion to adjourn the meeting. With a second by Director Jim Sherman. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
