Association administrators -- The association's first administrator in 1945 was Melvin Watson, who was also one of the founding directors. Watson served until the next year, when M. L. Stanford was hired. Stanford remained as director until 1973, serving 27 years! Between 1973 and 1988 the association had a number of administrators with relatively brief tenures: Lorene Miranda (1973-74), Fred Turnier (1974-75), Charles Pearce (1976), Rob Alves (1976-1979), Ben Giuliano (1980-83), Bernie Chalifoux (1984-86), and Chris Brandmeir (1987). In 1988 the association hired Nancy Van Huffle, who has remained the administrator to this day.
